I applied PBO and CO in Ryzen Master and rebooted.
Do I need to launch Ryzen Master on every startup to apply PBO and Curved Optimizer?
Some people said YES, another people NO.
So what is correct?
PBO is a BIOS Setting so if you have PBO enabled in BIOS, Ryzen Master wouldn't need to be active or opened.
Curve Optimizer also seems to be a BIOS setting according to this Reddit Thread User: https://linustechtips.com/topic/1471148-asus-released-bios-with-curve-optimizer-for-5800x3d/
I imagine if your BIOS doesn't have that option then you would need to have Ryzen Master active for that feature to be enabled.
NOTE: You can open a AMD SUPPORT Ticket and asked them directly from here: https://www.amd.com/en/maintenance/customer-care.html
I know PBO and CO can be enabled in BIOS.
I just wanted to know whether I need to launch RM on every startup if I set them in RM not in BIOS.
hyperdx1, read my post above. I think the answer is no, but suggested a test. John.
hyperdx1, simple to test - just do not open RM and see if you have PBO and CO. Be sure to have "Persistent PCD Values On" in Ryzen Master (RM) Settings. Enjoy, John.
Why don’t I have the option for PCD?
You have either the BIOS running the show or Ryzen Master once its inside Windows.
If you use a profile inside Ryzen Master then probably the application will need to start up to make effect. But I'm not 100% sure on this.
Some boards will have more advanced control, EG: ASUS RoG. I would use it instead but I understand that some of the advanced controls on BIOS level may require a steeper learning curve.
