I purchased a Ryzen 9 3900x that came with the Wraith Prism LED Cooler. I will be doing a lot of graphics, 3D rendering and animations. Before I put this together, I need to know if I need to upgrade the cooler or is this fan sufficient.   Thanks

The stock cooler is sufficient, but the cooler the chip is the higher and longer it can boost, so I would definitely invest in an aftermarket cooker. Personally I would go closed loop liquid like the Corsair H115i or H150 since you will be using all of the cores for an extended period of time.

Thanks for your answer.  I am looking at those now.  I am leaning towards the Corsair H115i.  I have often worried of leaks from the liquid CPU coolers, but have not heard of any issues recently.  So, I may give this one a go.

These days full on leaks from CLLC's are rare, and Corsair's warranty covers damages caused by leaks, hence my affinity for them.

I use the Wraith Prism and it seems to be respectable. I use Arctic MX-4 which is more effective and my CPU is cool as a proverbial cucumber,
