Cannot OC Ryzen 5 5600x with Ryzen Master

So I was trying to overclock my new Ryzen 5 5600x using Ryzen Master but when I click on the app it says "Overclocking feature is not supported by the PROCESSOR". I updated the BIOS, uninstall and install Ryzen Master but nothing happens. What can I do?

Overclock via BIOS. It's always a better idea to OC a CPU in BIOS than by software anyway.

thats like someone asking about a good surf spot in mexico because they are going there for vacation, and you just suggest surfing in nicaragua..

your answer does not help at all, People are having issues with RM and want to fix it, not work around.

Actually it's more like when someone asks what the best way is to do something, and you tell them. While Ryzen Master is an excellent monitoring program, it's never been a good idea to overclock a CPU under OS.

Now, as this is a user to user forum and not visited officially by any software developer of Ryzen Master, the only thing we can suggest is to ensure your computer meets the requirements as stated:

Minimum System Configuration

3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Desktop Processors on an X570 motherboard.
Windows 10 May 2019 Update (or newer)

And if it does, then try a clean installation of Ryzen Master which involves installation via Programs & Features and then manual removal of all Ryzen Master registry keys, and if that doesn't work, to try on a clean installation of Windows 10 2004 or newer.

What motherboard are you using? Do you have the chipset drivers and ryzen power plan installed?

As far as I know, there is no 5600x from the drop down menu.  Even if you select 3600x, it will take you to the RM download.  If you install that, it wont give you what you wanted.  Guess we all have to wait for AMD to update at their earliest time.  My 5600x does not even give the clock speed and shown as "zero".  In advanced view, there is nothing to show for the cores :manfrustrated:

I downloaded direct from https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/ryzen-master

You should probably uninstall your version before installing that.

I only use it for read out comparisons (i'm a bios OCer).

Ryzen 5 5600x, B550 aorus pro ac, Hyper 212 black, 2 x 16gb F4-3600c16dgtzn kit, NM790 2TB, Nitro+RX6900XT, RM850, Win.10 Pro., LC27G55T..

From https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/ryzen-master, when you check the release note, it takes you to https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-ryzen-master-2-6-0-1692.  But after installed, the RM version is 2.6.0.1702.

I believe either https://www.amd.com/en/support (select your processor model) or https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/ryzen-master will download the same install file.

Uninstall/Reinstall, same thing.  5600x is not supported with the latest version of RM as of today.

The same thing is happening to me and I already tried to do the oc through the bios, but my motherboard a520M-K does not allow to change the core ratio, this option does not appear in my bios and the bios is updated

does this mean you cant use PBO2? or undervolt or anything like that? my gigabyte a520i seems to allow me to change core ratio in the bios (havent actually tried to mess with it yet but the options dont seem blacked out) and i just want to undervolt to reduce system temps in my very cramped itx build
