Best Ryzen CPU for gaming

What is the best zen 3 cpu for gaming, I’ve heard and seen tests that the 7 5800x is better than 5900x and 5950x for gaming and it has less latency, and the 5900x and 5950x are better for productivity. I have an Rtx 3080 I would be pairing this with and possibly upgrading to a 3080 Ti.

The general feeling I have picked up is that for the 5000 series, the 5800x3d is the best choice for a gaming CPU.

I have a 5900x paired with an EVGA 3080, all of which bought prior to the existence of the x3d line and I am quite happy with it.
