AMD Ryzen 5900X overclock mistake

Hi there,

A couple days ago I was playing around with the Asus AI Suite and unintentionally, set the VDDCR CPU voltage of my Ryzen 5900x to 1.4v and after applying the settings the cpu temps skyrocks to 90ºc. After noticing this I started to dig around in order to understand what could be wrong, I went back to the Asus AI Suite, noticed the wrong voltage and set it back to 1.1v.

In summary, the question is, did I damage in some way the CPU by running that high voltage (1.4v) at 90ºc during approx 1.5 minutes?

Thanks

Doubt the short period would do any damage, and don't use motherboard software for OC.

Go to overclockers forums (5900x owners threads) for advice if you plan on trying out OC or optimal bios settings.

Ryzen 5 5600x, B550 aorus pro ac, Hyper 212 black, 2 x 16gb F4-3600c16dgtzn kit, NM790 2TB, Nitro+RX6900XT, RM850, Win.10 Pro., LC27G55T..
