AMD A10-6790K - cimmanifest.exe the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable

Hello,
I have a AMD A10-6790K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (4 CPUs), ~4.0GHz processor. on a Windows 10 OS.
After using my PC for a couple of minutes the following window pop up: "cimmanifest.exe the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable". Sometimes the PC is randomly crashing. It maybe all started with an automatic Windows update.

I search for any possible solution, but I didn't find any information that I could relate with this problem.

Any ideas??

Thanks in advance.

I'm having the exact same problem with an A10-5700 on an Asus F2A85-M le, with Windows 10 installed.

Your problem started in the past week? Does your computer restart with no apparent motive?

The error message started last week.

I'm having occasional spontaneous reboots, but those have been happening for quite a bit longer and only very occasionally. I wasn't able to find the cause. I also have crashing tabs in firefox every once in a while, but those also predate the error message.

I am also getting this error message.

ON Win 10, I am getting the notice that a software update is available. CLicking on look for update, the error pops up.

I went back to the non beta catalyst drivers from the AMD website instead of the crimson edition beta drivers. With that the error messages went away.

By the way, for me, these so called software updates never updated something. It kept asking even after installing.

Which graphics cards do you have?

It seems that the problem is fixed. I try installing a couple of things and the "cimmanifest.exe the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" didn't pop up again, nor my pc is rebooting.
The possible .exe that solve my problem is "amd-catalyst-15.7.1-win10-64bit" (version: 08.00.0916). You could try also updating Microsoft Visual C++.
