Hi everyone ..I have an old notebook . And i want to speed up for my laptop. So i decided to change my laptop cpu. Here is the problem: My laptop cpu has Llano codename but A6-4400M has trinity codename. What do you think about that ? Is that possible ?

Motherboard info:

Here is a list of all the LLANO CPUs that will work on the FS1 socket of your laptop: http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/CPUs/AMD/A6-Series_for_Notebooks/A6-3420M.html

This list is probably outdated but gives you a general idea of the type of laptop this is compatible with A6-440M CPU:

The Trinity CPU uses a FS1r2 socket while the Llano CPUs uses a FS1 socket.

According to CPU World, Trinity and Richland CPUs won't work in a FS1 motheboard socket:http://www.cpu-world.com/Sockets/Socket_FS1.html

As BlackZion mentioned, you need to contact your laptop Support site to see which CPU is supported on your laptop with a updated BIOS.

If you Laptop Support doesn't have a BIOS to support the CPU you want to upgrade to, then you are out of luck. It won't boot up.

You can't just upgrade a mobile CPU. If your laptop manufacturer doesn't support it, you can't do it.
