5800x 3D 80ºC+ stuttering

Good evening! I have a 5800x3D that is oscillating the temperature and when it gets 80ºc+ in games, the fps goes to something like 10 and then goes back to normal, but it still stays about 6 seconds freezing and the temperature rises. How to proceed? since it can work up to 90ºc if it crashes. I'm using a 360mm water cooler with three industrial noctua 3000rpm. Could it be a processor problem?

Load optimized defaults from bios and check temperatures with hwinfo during cinebench r23. With that cooler expect something in a 80-85°c range. Ither than that, something is wrong. Check cooler mounting and clean it and use fresh paste.

Using Curve Optimizer has no impact on temps for multi thread load. So if you play a game that support multi thread, using the trick of curve optimizer negative values won't help at all. It will help for single thread load tho. I don't own your CPU model, but I do have a Ryzen 5800x which is quite similiar to yours. I run air cooler, which isn't recommended for these type of cpu's but I have peak temp of 79ºC and average of 59ºC while gaming. I achieved this with PBO limits. If you can try that, set PPT to 130, TDC to 80 and EDC to 125. If that makes an impact on your temps, report back. You should also check your cooling installation, most of the time this is the issue. If you have water cooling you shouln't have temp issues.

Negative curve optimizer will lower temps in all cpu tasks.

That is not true, run cinebench and see it by yourself. Run cinebench or any other mt stress tool you'll get no better temps with CO

Look for reviews online, easy to find, it does lower temps greatly.... Not gonna argue with you anymore. I did run cine my self... You´re doing something wrong, if it´s not working.

My temps R23 10 min run average 83 (stock) vs 66c (-10 allcore).

Please read before you type, I think you don't even understand what CO does.

You put a video of a guy running cinebench ST? u know why? because it doesn't work for MT.

"Curve optimizer, in and of itself doesn't alter voltage, it alters the boost frequencies at a given voltage. If frequency is capped via something else, then yes, voltage will also go down, but if allowed, voltage will scale normally and boost speeds will increase with the larger negative offsets." CO does not lower the voltage if you have CPU voltage set to AUTO, it will only means that it will use the same voltage for MT unless you manually change that, you would usually under good conditions get "higher" clocks as the negative magnitude will tell the CPU that it can actually do same voltage for higher clocks. This applies good for ST and that's why when you run MT cinebench the CPU will have throttle the clocks to keep stability, but power draw will be the same. I think you believe that CO is some kind of off set to Vcore which is not. Then for MT your only way to cool down temps is to limit PBO values below default. That would impact temps on MT because regardless of Vcore, the CPU won't be able to draw full amps and power under MT load, heating less. If you set CO -30 all cores and expect MT cinebench to run at top peak clocks, that won't happen, and it will still draw power since you haven't limited PBO values.

People, write your question directly here, not as some weird copy.

Be accurate with your hardware description

This sounds most like you have one of those defective AIOs and you need to replace it.
