4xxxg processors with graphics

I am gravely disappointed that AMD has chosen to make all of the 4000g series processors OEM only. With only the 3400g available for purchasers like myself, and that model either out of stock everywhere, or grossly overpriced thanks to shortages, I am seriously thinking about going back to Intel for my future builds.

Not that this will greatly affect AMD one way or another. After all, what is the disgruntlement of one consumer amount to anyway.

Still, I did want the company to know that while this decision may be best for AMD as a company, I don't think much of it.

Sincerely,

Jim McLain

You can probably purchase a 4000 series  OEM APU if you look hard enough.

Retailers like Ali Baba Express or Ebay etc, I believe, sells those processors. But they won't have the 3 year AMD Warranty nor CPU Cooler bundled nor come in a official AMD Retail box.

Here are some examples:

The Warranty will be only from the Retailer/Seller of the APU.

Trouble is finding a motherboard that has a BIOS version that will support that particular 4000 series APU.

Thank you for your reply, elstasi. But I still dislike AMD's corporate decision to keep these processors in the OEM pipeline only. And the lack of any AMD warranty through the sellers you suggest, is a big negative to me.

Nonetheless, thanks very much for your knowledgeable reply..
