4600H overheating

Hey, so recently I bought an ASUS TUF A15 laptop with an AMD Ryzen 5 4600H CPU. I've noticed that during gaming, my CPU temperatures are quite high, typically in the range of 85-90 degrees Celsius, while the GPU temperatures tend to stay much lower at around 70 degrees. Additionally, I'm not sure if it's normal, but even at idle, I'm seeing relatively high clock speeds, around 3.5 GHz and higher. Is this normal? I previously used an Intel CPU and didn't experience these kinds of issues. Any tips would be appreciated.

The Ryzen 5 4600H has a base frequency of 3GHz with a boost clock of up to 4GHz. It is normal for the speed to fluctuate within those two points. The tjMax of this chip is 105°C so die temperatures of 85-90°C using the integrated Vega 6 graphics while gaming, particularly on low resolution or CPU intensive games, is within normal specification.

I have been using tuf15 with ryzen 5 4600h for about 4.5 year: in some games it heats to 94-95 degrees (yes, i've cleaned up the laptop and reload thermointerface in time). But i havent notice trotling or any expluatating issues, all works fine.

You have to be alarmed when if it will reach  100 deg, then that the problem (or reason to decrease tdp/freq or temperature directly with 3rd party program)

High CPU temperatures around 85-90°C during gaming are fairly common for the Ryzen 5 4600H, as it's a high-performance chip designed for laptops. The temperature is a bit on the higher side, but it's still within the safe operating range. As for the clock speeds, Ryzen CPUs tend to have dynamic scaling, meaning they'll run at higher speeds when needed, even at idle, depending on workload and power settings. You can try adjusting your power plan to "Balanced" or use a program like AMD Ryzen Master to tweak performance settings. Additionally, ensure that your laptop's cooling system is clean and working optimally to help manage those temps better.
