I purchased an AMD branded card a while back from Microcenter that is still under warranty. It stopped working a few days ago and I input a warranty claim. After much back and forth to troubleshoot the problem with them they told me that they can't do anything for me because I didn't buy it from AMD.com. How can that possibly work like that? Why would Microcenter be responsible for administering a warranty on a product they didn't build? I've been trying to find answers on this forum, but haven't found much that helps. Any suggestions? FYI, Microcenter said, "no that's not right" when I told them what AMD said.

AMD cards are only sold by AMD directly through their store. If you purchased an AMD Radeon card through Microcenter, it was made by a 3rd party partner such as Sapphire or Powercolor.

Note that if you can identify the brand name of the graphics card either by your original invoice, or from the packaging or card itself, you can go directly to the partner website to obtain warranty services.
This was the card I purchased from Microcenter. I don't see anything related to a third party.
You're correct, those pictures and part number 100-438416 indicate that is an AMD product, not a partner model.
Do you still have the original Microcenter invoice showing the part number and SKU/UPC to provide with the AMD support ticket?
This was on the receipt:
SKU 541425 AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT Triple Fan 16GB GDDR6 PCIe 4.0 Graphics Card
If the Card was Purchased directly from AMD, They warranty it.
If it's a 3rd party Card, that Manufacturer Warranties it.
And what is the warranty for an AMD manufactured product sold by Microcenter? Microcenter as of today has 5 of their products they are selling. Is AMD saying that Microcenter or any other retailer are not authorized to sell their products?
Then Microcenter should warranty it.
How old is the Card?
I purchased it in March of 2023.
I know Microcenter Have done special deals with AMD.
Ask microcenter to send it in on your behalf.
They show its only a 2 year warranty.
