Very low FPS out of nowhere

Hey guys, I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and an RX 580. And things have been acting up the last week. Out of nowhere, last week I just started to get major frame drops when playing games. I used to get high FPS when playing fortnite at high settings. But now, it's high fps for the first bit, and then it just drops like crazy low as soon as I touch down. In a game called Beat Saber in VR, I had no problem running at 90 FPS, but now it stays at 90 for a second, and then starts dropping super low. I suspect it may have something to do with my PSU, which I upgraded the other day, but it hasn't fixed the problem. If anyone knows why this is happening could you let me know? It may have somthing to do with the new AMD graphics drivers that were just installed, but I don't think they would release something this bad.

Download msi afterburner, or through adrenaline, monitor the behavior of the processor in the game and the video card frequency.

it is better to use the msi afterburner, you can configure it more informatively, and during the game, when you will play, look at the frequency of the processor and video card, at the moment when there will be fps drawdowns, to understand what gives them.
