stuttering lag and crashing in multiple games

Hello, I am new to AMD and their graphics cards, as I have recently switched from a micro RTX 3060 to an AMD RX 6950 XT, my CPU is more than capable of handling the graphics card, but I am having issues where I crash in multiple games, be it Fortnite, Cyberpunk 2077, or other games, however those are the ones which I find have the heaviest crashing issue.

I am also having an issue of a weird version of lag, where it makes players stutter around the map, freeze there for a little and then move to their new position after that, if I decide to make an input during this 'stutter sequence' it gets postponed to after everyone unfreezes.

I haven't been able to play over an hour of either Fortnite or Cyberpunk 2077, not without a crash in the middle at least, and an issue that's specifically with Fortnite, the glider texture (any glider) loads in really slow.

I have tried factory resetting, which fixed the lag, only for 7 hours though, and only worked once, I have also tried service disabling, turning on game mode, turning off real-time protection, updating everything (including GPU drivers), and re-installing everything.

The last thing I have to say is that all these issues have only begun AFTER the fact the 6950 XT was put in my system, and yes, my Wi-Fi is more than enough to handle these games.

listing full specs is always helpful .. including make/model of your power supply

Is you motherboard's BIOS up to date?

Do you have the latest chipset drivers installed for your motherboard from either AMD.com or Intel.com website?

Did you use DDU when you switched GPU's?

Always good practice to run separate power cables from your power supply to each power input on your GPU

6950xt has a higher power draw than a 3060 .. and produces more heat . .how is the airflow through your case?

How are your CPU and GPU temps?

Is you Windows install up to date?

Thank you for your advice on forum post making.

Updating BIOS has fixed the lag problem (amazing in itself) however I am yet to test it on a game that frequents crashing.

I am sure the chipset drivers also helped, thank you so much for your help.
