So I'm trying to beat the 9 quadrillion scalpers who are gonna mass purchase the RX 6900XT 5 nanoseconds after it releases, fat chance of that happening, but anyway, I'd really like to know the exact release time here in the UK.
So what is the exact release time of the Radeon RX 6900XT in the UK tomorrow on December 8th, and also which version of the card do you recommend to me? Just the original or one of those special ones?

While AMD and retailers have yet to formally announce a precise release time for the 6900 XT at the time of writing, all indications are that the super-charged hardware will debut around 9 a.m. EST December 8. After all, the 6800 and 6800 XT went live at that time, as did every other GPU in NVIDIA's 30 series. With that in mind, we see little reason to think stores would diverge from that pattern.
Scan.co.uk advertised ASUS Radeon RX6900XT Reference for £899.
Press Add to cart.
Computer says no.
Other cards up for Powercolor Sapphire, Gigabyte. but no price, no pre-order, no way to buy.
Overclockers.co.uk have:
PowerColor RX6900XT for £1100
Sapphire for £1000
ASUS gives a 404 Error.
ASRock for £1100.
No product is available.
Nothing to buy.
Paper launch.
Joke.
Waste of time.
Hello,
Thank you for reminding me that the RX6900XT is supposed to launch tomorrow.
I will soon be able to close the following thread on the Forum:
https://community.amd.com/t5/graphics/rdna2-rdna-refresh-and-quot-big-navi-quot-launch-and-reviews/m...
The correct answer to that thread will be "No point, Paper Launch".
It has all of the details of the RX6800/XT "Big Navi" GPUs that no one can buy, especially not at the "MSRP".
It is very unlikely there will be any RX6900XT for sale to anyone in the UK, apart from any sent to reviewers.
It is not clear if AIB manufacturers will make any.
It is not clear to me why anyone would pay the suggested MSRP for a reference version of a RX6900XT anyhow.
Apparently there will be 35 RX6900XT Reference GPU available for Switzerland.
But you have to enter a raffle to be able to buy one.
And you probably have to be a Swiss citizen.
Nothing at all advertised on UK sites yet.
This video claims RX6900XT launch will be even fewer stock than for the RX6800/XT.

Alright, ready to go. A few hours left
I have been looking around for an RX6900XT advertised anywhere.
Not on any UK Website I see.
No RX6800/XT either.

I couldn't agree more. The AMD 'buy direct' button gives a 503 'service temporarily unavailable' error. Overclockers UK sais 'coming soon' on all four of the options I have. Some scalping reseller is selling their pre-order for £2 grand on Ebay.
RE: Some scalping reseller is selling their pre-order for £2 grand on Ebay.
Is that for an actual GPU or a RX6900XT printed on a4 paper?
It does seem far too expensive.
You can but an RX6800XT printed on a4 paper on Ebay for £200.
That would mean the RX6900XT is a10x uplift in pricing.
Don't know about you but these fake AMD GPU launches are really annoying me.
Yep
Some scalping reseller is selling their pre-order for £2 grand on Ebay.
Yeah, he's sold the 3 that he had for 2 grand each. His page says 'ended'.
