Ordinary PC, Windows 10 Pro, 32GB memory, ASUS RX 5700 XT
I recently, about 4 weeks ago, replaced my GTX 970 with an ASUS RX 5700 XT. Seems to work fine but I'm having a system issue and wondering if it could be a driver...
Currently, in Outlook 2019, and for about the last week, if I attempt to display an appointment, it doesn't display the window. I can hover the mouse over the taskbar icon and SEE there's a second window, but it won't display. Once I get that situation I can't even open the main screen or even shut down Outlook. I THOUGHT it was Outlook. Last night the same thing happened in Zoom. Created a meeting, Opened the meeting, and there are two windows shown when I hover, but the meeting won't display...
The ONLY thing I know of that's happened in the last week was that I installed the Windows update (maybe 2H20?) that they shoved out. Immediately after that update, I found the newest driver for the 5700 and installed it.
I understand this is a big assumption - that B followed A so A MUST HAVE caused B, but I've gone through all the Office trouble shooting all the way to reinstalling Office 2019, and reinstalling Zoom... Is it worthwhile to revert to an older driver that I didn't have this problem with? I KNOW all this stuff WAS working 'cause I'd have NOTICED immediately if I couldn't view appointments any more...
Is there ANY chance I have some setting in the Radeon software wrong? I HAVE NOT, to the best of my knowledge, changed ANYTHING from the defaults on the card.
Thoughts?
