I had bee contemplating for quite some time if I should up grade from dual RX 580 8GB graphic cards to a RX 6800. I'm more than thrilled at the incredible boost in performance I've had. As we all know, once we take one step we think of how much further we can go without breaking the bank. With that said, I'm thinking of upgrading my Ryzen 7 3700x to a 5700x to experience next level performance and since the 5700x is at a remarkable price, that will be my next move, since I already have a B550 MOBO, it's a no brainer.

If your budget is already set, then the 5700X plus a RX6800 is a solid pick.
Beware, don't overspend on the 5700X as the 7700X is now very affordable, like 300-330ish

I had a single RX480 and these were my performance bumps on a RX6800 while still using the Ryzen 2700X
With the 5700X, You will dominate 1440p with ease and even getting some 4K at very playable levels.

The alternate route is just buy the RX6800 and gather more $$$$ for the 7700X, because you will need DDR5 and AM5 board to go along.
