I have a pretty weird proplem, first of all, I have an RX 570 8GB Ram OC Armor and my PC is a dual monitor
now my CPU has also an internal GPU so I have 2
CPU is Ryzen 3 3200g and the GPU in it is Vega 8 2GB, so I was cleaning the dust in my pc **WITHOUT TOUCHING THE GPU OR CPU OR MOTHERBOARD** I just changed my dust filters and then plugged everything in again and turned on my PC
I first launched GTA 5 as usual but my graphics was **** and my fps was low so I went out to see that the game is running on the Vega 8 GPU and I can't change it, it looked like the games is not detecting the GPU, then I tried to switch the monitors but it appears like the 2 of them is working on the same GPU
then went to my task manager to check what's going on and I saw my GPU usage os 0%, Fans is not running and the temperature is 36°C
I checked all the drivers and they were updated.
I asked so many guys and none have seen this problem before if anyone knows please contact me or comment here because I really don't know what is happening here.
hi bro not an expert but i gus the problem is that the vaga gpu is set to default try changing it to rx570 or try disabling the vaga
yeah, I was kinda blind and didn't notice that all my monitors are connected on the same GPU and it's the internal one, but now how can I change that and connect one of them to my GPU?
Win10 20H2 brings us this error!
go to "display" settings
"advanced"
and add GTA V to the list and set it to "high performance"
I tried to do this and when I set on the high performance it gives me that
the high-performance card is Vega 8 and not RX 570, and at the same time both of the monitors is connected to the Vega 8 ( the internal graphic card of the CPU )
and Idk how to change that because one of them should be connected to RX 570
Does the RX 570 show up in device manager? If not, reseat the GPU, try again. Did you use compressed air and let the fans spin when you cleaned it? You may have toasted the GPU by the fans spinning, which turns them into generators that feed power back into the GPU. Always hold or jam fans from spinning when using compressed air to clean. RMA the card if anything like that happened, just say it doesn't work.
Yes it does appear in device manager and it says '' This device is working properly ''
it also appear in AMD software when I go to GPU that I can see I have 2 GPU's
and no I didn't use compressed air while cleaning it, in fact, I just cleaned the outside dust and didn't even touch the GPU fans
I already tried to uninstall the drivers and re-install them but it's not working, tried to disable it and then re-enable it but also didn't work or change anything
I'm more than 100% sure that it's not because I cleaned it, I do that so carefully since I'm always kinda scared when doing this, also I didn't use any kind of tools during cleaning it
and re-install them but it's not working, tried to disable it and then re-enable it but also didn't work
Disable the Vega graphics, that should make the PC use the RX 570 by default. Check in BIOS as well to see if you can disable the Vega graphics in there.
Nothing to be afraid of cleaning the PC, just keep fans from spinning and the thing unplugged are the main things. It's best to use a can of compressed air, rather than hand wiping the fan blades off, besides how do you get the dust out of the cooling fins?
Yeah i tried to do this but lt didn't work, and about the GPU fans " i didn't even touch them " because as I said I'm always afraid from breaking anything while cleaning the PC, everything that I did was changing the Case fans filters and cleaned the dust on them, and also didn't spin the fans
So the cleaning have nothing to do with this but I mentioned it because I can't say that it was working Normally and then stopped, then it will appear like the GPU is broken or something like this
I know that the main problem now that the 2 monitors connected to Vega Grpahics instead of RX But I don't know how to change that and connect one of them to the RX
" I Didn't brake It! "
Just checking but are the monitors plugged into the GPU or the motherboard?
