Does this mean I HAVE to have a separate graphics card to get ANY video?
It is installed in an ASUS B5500m-PLUS (wi-fi) MB.
The ASUS BIOS has been updated to the latest version.
I get NO video at present. Is there a work around to get some video without a discreet graphics card? The price of a new card is through the roof?
Thanks

Yes, The Ryzen 3700X is not a APU processor (Processor with Integrated Graphics) so you need to install a separate GPU card on your motherboard and connect your monitor to the GPU card's video output to get video to your monitor.
If you had a APU before and was using your motherboard's Video output than I suggest you install that APU again so you have video and then order a separate GPU card to install and then install the 3700X processor.

Thanks. That's what I needed to know.
I was afraid of that. Didn't know about the graphics card until I read the fine print.
A couple of other Users have asked a similar question at AMD Forums.
By the way since you need to install a separate GPU card to get video and you were using your APU Integrated Graphics before make sure that your PSU is strong enough to support both the 3700X and the GPU card you get.
This PSU website shows you what minimum PSU you will need with the 3700X and the GPU card you decide to purchase: https://www.whatpsu.com/
