I want to buy the Radeon Vii. But before I do I am reaching out to verify that I the card fits my needs.
I currently use a home theater audio setup through my receiver as follows:
GTX970 HDMI video/audio>>>TV ARC. This gives me output of 4k native resolution and stereo audio or Basic DD5.1 and DTS 5.1 audio passthrough.
Concurrently I also have:
GTX970 Display Port>>>Home Theater Receiver. This adds the ability to switch audio between hdmi and display port in windows and carries Surround Sound in games up to 7.1 channels, DD+, DTS Master, etc.
So to sum up I use HDMI for 4k video and use the Display port to carry the audio at the same time.
Can someone please verify that this will also work on the Radeon Vii?
