this is the response from powercolor  i got 15 days to enjoy the card before i return it

      Hi,

Sorry to hear your liquid devil 5700xt doesn’t work with new driver.  Maybe AMD is updating their drivers.

Your graphic card hardware should work because our factory quality control test your card before it was shipped out.

Please try the below troubleshooting procedures to resolve your card’s issue.

It might be a driver issue. Please contact our partner AMD relating to your driver installation issue at  https://www.amd.com/en/support/contact

Most likely, it’s driver issue or motherboard compatibility.

Our powercolor graphic card works with Asus, MSI, Gigabtye, Asrock, etc. motherboard (UEFI compatibility) with 3.0 PCIe slots. Please make sure you fulfill the system requirements

Please try our below troubleshooting procedures. Your new card should work after you try the troubleshooting procedures.

Here is our installation instruction. Please use integrated GPU on your motherboard for video output to your monitor and download the latest driver again from http://support.amd.com/en-us/download.

After you download, please shutdown your computer, and then  insert your Powercolor card into your motherboard PCIe slot. Please try the newest version of the driver.

Please also try the following more troubleshooting process.

  1. Please try updating your Mother Board BIOS to the newest version and also update your AMD chipset by downloading the current AMD chipset driver onwww.amd.com
  2. Please check yourpower supply, your graphic card needs minimum of 650 watts or better power supply. Certified power supplies are strongly recommended; for a list of certified power supplies, please see the following link http://support.amd.com/en-us/recommended/power-supplies
  3. Please try to plug in the graphic card into another PCIe slot if your MB has another PCIe x16 slot and also into another system to see if it’s card or motherboard, hardware compatibility issue.
  4. Please check if your system has good airflow. I would suggest you to have at least 2 fans in your PC, one in the front that will suck air in, the other one put in the back which will blow air out.
  5. Please use driver fusion to remove all previous graphic card drivers.http://treexy.com/products/driver-fusion then installing AMD WHQL driver from: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
  6. Check all system drivers, update them to the newest WHQL version if website has new version.
  7. Please do a Virus and Trojan scan to check if your system is infected or not.
  8. Clean up your profile: Whenever you install a program, it will move your profile into the system and become more and more cumbersome. You can find many free cleanup programs online. CCleaner is the current general common Windows login key cleanup program. Download link:http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard
  9. Please use DDU program to uninstall your previous graphic card driver.  Have a nice day!

Installed a Liquid Devil today, I have the same issue with Adrenaline 2020, had to go with 19.12.1 for clocks to be ok. Tried the BIOS switch on both positions, no change.

Think mine was locked to only 300 MHz, needless to say, games ran like crap at that speed.

I've logged a ticket with AMD & Powercolor.

       Hi,

Your card’s issue is most likely not bios issue or other issue, but driver issue.  We have multiple users with driver issues.

Please contact our partner AMD relating to your driver installation issue at  https://www.amd.com/en/support/contact  because it’s driver coding issue and not card hardware.

Yes I know it is driver related.

I would expect that AMD would pay more attention to Powercolor themselves seeing as you are their partner that an end user contacting them.

Has Powercolor reported this to AMD?

I made a quick video describing the situation that happens when you try to use this card with the new 2020 drivers it has all kinds of instability even when you run stock settings that didn't occur in the previous drivers.

Powercolor stating that it's a software issue with AMD drivers in that it's up to them to fix but users of other 5700xt's can still use the 2020 drivers without issue and use the more power tool app

Hey msimax, some kind reddit user has let me know there is a new BIOS from Powercolor to remedy this, haven't tried it yet myself (5 mins ago). This can be accessed from the latest news page from the Devils Club page if you have signed up. If you haven't, all they supply is this link Liquid_Devil_bios_1226.rar - Google Drive

Contains a readme outlining the issue and 2 bios's, one OC and one unleashed.

Sounds promising

Oh, applied them to mine after I posted and ran DDU, installed 20.1.1 and things have been working great ever since.

It also looks like you applied the wrong bios file when the switch was in the wrong position, you have 270W & 230W overwriting each other if I'm not mistaken.

Not sure if that makes much of a difference though, just means your switch position will be backwards.

what happens when you change something in the bios under tuning freq/voltage?

and when i tried flash this bios but it told me it was already done as i had the bios a week prior

and thought this was a new one, but i thought i couldn't flash due to a name file issue so i flashed the 220w again and then back to the 270 bios just to make sure, and it doesnt really matter where the bios ends up i guess they want it to line up with the switch

Looks like the GPU max frequency slider is a bit weird. Max says it's on zero, although it's way down the right of the slider. I can slide it further right so it reads 6, or all the way left which is -56.

Memory is the same, sits on 0 (far left), can increase by 8

(not sure if this is standard behaviour, I have nothing to compare it against)

Power limit is normal 0 - 50%

Advanced control for both seems fine, I can go up to 2200 on the voltage/frequency scale if I want and 1900 on RAM.

I'm just happy it works as is, I've left it completely stock on the unleashed BIOS, which I'm 100% happy with.

Hopefully, this gets resolved in a future driver update, sounds like this BIOS fix was a temporary fix until AMD addresses it in the driver.

Same problem here as well...I'm on 19.2.1 until problem solves...Have anyone tried 20.1.4?

20.1.4 are working fine on my card, no issues at all. But I have flashed it with the new BIOS to fix the low clock problem. All the 20.x.x drivers have been ok after the new BIOS.

This is a fix that I found..  I hope this helps you.  I was trying to fix for 2 days and just ordered a 2080ti last night

Below is a pic of the settings I used in Adrenaline 2020

Hope this helps
