I set frequency to 1400MHZ (I tested this setting before with MSI afterburner), left voltage on auto.
then BOOM! screen went black, PC shut down.
turned out, wattman would give the card a SIGNIFICANTLY higher voltage than it needs.
if I overclock my RX580 to 1386MHZ, voltage will jump up to 1.18 (my card only need 1.14).
wattman will increase voltage whether you need it or not
question:
is there a "voltage limit" for wattman's auto voltage regulation? or it just brainlessly increase voltage until the card shut itself down?
