Every newer Radeon has NO OpenCL hardware acceleration in Affinitiy Photo! And it is clear, that it is a AMD driver problem.
I had a 6800 and now the 6600XT. I'm waiting for nearly two years, together with MANY others... What's the problem?
BTW in Photoshop 5 with the newest driver there seems no OpenGL support anymore (and thus no support for displaying 16-bit photos native). Back to driver 22.6.1 wich still has OpenGL support...
Thinking about an NVIDIA card,... I hate it...
We have a new OpenGL version starting 22.20. If there is an issue with Photoshop, please provide detailed info to look into it. Like the exact OS version and Photoshop build version.
I'm guessing this aligns with the release of the RX 7000 series?
Don't understand your comment. It is not related to the topic.
Windows 11 22H2, Photoshop 12.0.4. (aka Photoshop 5)
Can't promise. Photoshop 5 is very old. Even Adobe stopped supporting it.
OpenCL support now is working in Affinity Photo 2, great! But I have banding in 16 bit color depth...
... wich I had not in Photoshop 5 until your new OpenGL driver. Is there a possible workaround other than sticking with a old driver?
