(First of all: I am German, so sorry for my English.)
I am looking for a new graphics card for the following system / requirement profile:
PC:
- Windows 10 64bit
- 16 GB RAM
- Intel i7-860 2.80 GHz (I haven't planned an upgrade yet from today's perspective)
- Motherboard Asus P7P55D EVO Motherboard with Intel Socket 1156 (from 2009)
- Power supply Enermax Modu82+ 625W
- Monitor 24 Inch Dell UlatraSharp U2410; working at 1920 x 1200 resolution
Software:
- MS Office
- Complex image processing (RAW files) with Photoshop (max. about 15 layers) or Capture One
- rarely games, currently only World Racing 2 (from 2010)
Requirement for graphics card:
- together with the monitor the highest possible colour fidelity due to image processing
- powerful to have really good reserves for the future (e.g. image processing software with higher hardware requirements, larger monitor with higher resolution, using two monitors), but no high-end card as it is often needed for today's games (no issue for me)
- but at the same time as quiet as possible when working with the above mentioned programs;
I have already thought about a passively cooled card, but I am in doubt here concerning performance reserves for the future; this is why I would prefer a card with as quiet fans as possible, which should not start at all taking into consideration my current work and the used software - corresponding with my requirement concerning loudness of course limited heat development
- Budget: max. approx. 600 € / 660 $
If my power supply should not be sufficient for a recommendable graphics card, I would buy a suitable one.
