New 240 hz monitor only shows 60 hz in windows. Please help!

Gpu: amd rx 580 with only dvi-d port
Monitor: Acer Nitro XV273Xbmiiprzx 240 hz new. the hdmi 2.0 port shuld support the 240 hz.
i bought a Delight 2m 4K DVI-D - HDMI cabel 20380. Specifications: 24K, 4096 x 2160, 20awg, 340 mhz (18 gbps), 48 bit specifications. So that hdmi cabel with that performance is hdmi 2.0 for sure.

Most Video adapters can't transmit high Frequencies. Most transmit 60hz especially DVI-D type adapters.

Just because it outputs HMDI 2.0 you have to realize DVI-D maximum Hz is much lower then HDMI 2.0 Max Hz.

Best way to find out is by connecting your 240hz Monitor directly with no adapters.
