My Ubuntu not restarting after installing the RX AMD driver on Ubuntu 22.04

Hello members,

I have recently tried to make my new graphic card fully recognized by Ubuntu.

The graphic card is a low-budget AMD Radeon Phoenix RX 6400 with 4GB Memory and PCIe 4.0 support.

The graphic card is working indeed, but Linux seems unable to take leverage of the full capacity.

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS
Release: 22.04
Codename: jammy

I referred on the procedures under these links :

https://amdgpu-install.readthedocs.io/en/latest/install-prereq.html#downloading-the-installer-packag...

https://amdgpu-install.readthedocs.io/en/latest/install-script.html

I downloaded the driver from this link :

https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-5500-series/amd-radeon-rx-5500-series/amd-radeon-...

I tried to follow accurately the procedure and processed as follow :

### fix/reset the repository
# For Ubuntu:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

### set the amd repo in the rpm repository
$ cd ~/Downloads
# For Ubuntu:
$ sudo apt-get install ./amdgpu-install_5.4.50406-1_all.deb
$ sudo apt-get update

# perform the installation

amdgpu-install

I then tried to use radeontop, that was still not detecting the real essence of my graphic card. After taking a chance by rebooting, my OS had become a total wreckage, unable to boot. I tried the procedure both times after reinstalling the OS.

Best regards.
