Lower graphics settings, higher fps, higher temperature, higher RPM

I have a RX 6600 XT PowerColor Hellhound paired with a ryzen 5 5600X, 16GB RAM 3200MHz, B550 MA-AC. When I play Rocket League, I try to lower the settings to see how many FPS I can get. But when I did that, the GPU started to overheat and the fans just went crazy. I have like 3 months with this set up. I have the game capped at 144Hz (because I have a 144Hz monitor) at the highest settings and everything is fine and sometimes the fans are turned off when playing like that, but even if I just uncap the FPS, the GPU goes crazy reaching 80° and 96° on the hotspot . It's not a huge problem for me, but it makes me wonder if I have a faulty GPU or just a bad configuration on the AMD software.

More likely bad config for game, and you haven't mentioned card OC/settings/etc...........( 96C is below max).

Case size/model, how many fans (you need more exhaust than intake).
