I use Acer Nitro 5 AN515-42, bought in October 2018
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2500U
APU: Radeon™ RX Vega 8 Mobile Graphics
GPU: RX560X 4 GB GDDR5
RAM: 16GB (8GB DDR4 2400 * 2)
SSD: Apacer AS340 (480GB)
OS: Windows 10 Home
It worked fine until 2-3 years ago, the RX560X started having problems: when playing games or using programs related to the graphics card for 2-5 minutes, they would stop working for no reason.
I tried reinstalling Windows. I used both Windows Update, both from the manufacturer's website and AMD Auto-Detect. The problem was that every time I installed the graphics card driver, the laptop would freeze for no reason.
I tried diasbled the RX560X and reinstalling the driver, and everything was able to be installed normally.
Now I use Vega 8, it works to its full potential.
What do you think is the reason?
