So I just built my fiancé a new desktop. It’s has a MSI Tomahawk B550 motherboard, a 5800xt processor, and a ASRock challenger 6600xt 8GB GPU. When trying to install graphics drivers, I get a black screen and the fans stop spinning on the GPU. I can leave it idle for several minutes with no change. If I restart the PC it also stays black other than the initial windows loading screen. I can enter safe mode and delete the GPU driver and run normal mode no problem with the windows generic display adapter driver. It’s only when I try to install the AMD driver in when I have my issues. This is my old card so I know it works as I upgraded from the 6600xt to the 7900XTX in my own system. I had 0 issues running this card myself. The power supply is a 750W thermal take. I’ve tried older drivers for the 6600xt and the latest and same result with both. A blinking monitor and black screen while the system runs. Any help would be greatly appreciated please and thanks! Might I also add I have the AMD chipset downloaded as well as the updated BIOS.
