Brand new XFX RX7600XT

We’re modding out a rx7600xt and the thermal paste was dry af.  If you do replace your paste have on hand thermal pads 1mm to 3mm because they do pull apart.  Any damage we replace them all to match.   This GPU would run at 67c but the hot spot would be 94c which is way to high.

COOLER DATE stamped 11/23

release date was Feb 2024 I believe.

 

 

 One thing they got right was adding thermal pads to the back plate.  Nice touch XFX!  Glad to see that! A+

Funny that it used to be the reference coolers were bad, and you had to get a partner model to get a decent cooler.

What gets me, it’s less then 6 months old and sat in the box until 2 weeks ago.  And the paste is dry?  Doing some heat cycles now…
