get 2560 x 1440 resolution on A4-6320 APU with HD8370D graphics

Hello,

I've just purchased a Philips 275E1S display, which is capable of a 2560 x 1440 resolution. I've connected the VGA video output from my MSI A68HM-P33 V2 (MS-7895) (P0) mainboard to the VGA input of the display and I can get up to 1920 x 1080.

Since the display has VGA, HDMI and DP inputs only, I'm wondering if I could obtain a 2560 x 1440 using either the vga cable or a DVI-to-HDMI adapter.

I've found a old thread where someone posted a link to a pixel clock patcher for AMD/ATI and I'd like to know if someone has successfully achieved what I'm trying to do, using that patch or any other trick.

Thank you.
Regards

The maximum resolution from your Mobo VGA Port is 1920x1200@ 60Hz, 24bpp

The maximum resolution from your Mobo DVI Port is: 2560x1600@60Hz, 24bpp/ 1920x1200@60Hz, 24bpp

Seems like all DVI-HDMI only outputs Full HD 1080P resolutions.

According to this game site the Maximum Resolution for the HD8370D is 2560x1600:

he only adapter outputting DVI 2k are generally DP-DVI adapters.

So it seems like you are restricted to 2560x1600 output to your monitor if you are able to find a DVI-D - HDMI Adapter that will output that resolution.
