Dual Monitors refusing to work properly, causing issues with windows after processor upgrade

So a bit of backstory. I just upgraded my processor from a Ryzen 5 2600 to a Ryzen 7 5800x. In doing so, I had to install a bunch of firmware updates to my motherboard, and then after I got it working, I was having a major issue where my PC refused to use the HDMI's audio (thats connected to my TV, which is my main monitor, which is then connected to a receiver and my surround sound system) and only wanted to see the realtek audio drivers. I was a very long pain in the ass process, but I eventually was able to scrub every bit of my AMD drivers from my GPU (An RX580) from my system and reinstall them, and it finally was able to once again see my TV/Receiver as an audio source. So from here on, Im pretty much up and running again how I was before.

However, one annoying problem Im having now is that my system seems to have completely forgotten how to handle having Dual Monitors. I have a tiny tv I have plugged in the display port as a second monitor, and it used to work fine. But now, I HAVE to boot my PC with it unplugged, or despite the Motherboard's BIOS bootscreen showing up on both monitors, once windows boots, my main screen switches to a "Is it plugged in?" screen, only showing windows on the secondary screen. If I go to display settings, it does not detect my main screen. It straight up doesnt see it.

Now, if I turn off my computer, unplug the display port from my GPU, boot into windows, and then plug the display port back in... it doesnt automatically do anything. I have to go into display settings again. Now here, where I should normally be able to select "extend these displays" i can select it, it just does not do anything, and forces itself to "only show on 2" (2 is always the hdmi port/my main display). However, if I select "duplicate the display" then the second monitor will show the image, and THEN I can now select "extend these displays". This is the ONLY way I have been able to get it to work. It is a very annoying and pain in the ass work around that requires me to both have to physically have it unplugged, boot up, then re-plug in, then turn on and off and back on the settings.

And the worst thing is, If my computer goes to sleep, upon wake, if the second monitor was used at all, regardless if I unplug it before waking up, it will again refuse to see my main screen again, and only show things on the side screen, and doesnt see it under display settings again. I am now forced to reboot my PC and do this whole dance over again.

I have reinstalled my AMD Adrenaline drivers twice and its still doing this. Again, and this is after having to just do a fresh driver scrub and reinstall to get my audio working again, and I'm kind of nervous continuously messing with it for the 5th time, and don't want to break my audio again. Any does anyone have any help for me?

This is a clear EDID issue. The root cause might be:

  1. your display devices /receiver
  2. issues related to cables or adapters

There is not much info in the ticket regarding OS, driver, display devices, receiver and cables and adapters used.
