Display ports on 6800xt stopped working.
Weird thing happened with my ASUS TUF 6800XT displayports. My main monitor stopped working. It goes black on windows startup. I checked all 3 DP ports and it is just the same. TV hooked to HDMI works fine.
When I unplug and plug again DP cable it works for a second or two and shows noise then goes black again with monitor showing "standby". I checked another cable, no luck.
Monitor works in windows safe mode and when I plug it in to DP integrated graphics port.
Any clues?
Just cleaned drivers with DDU and installed a bit older AMD drivers and still no bueno. Same thing was happening with just windows default drivers after cleaning with DDU. Funny thing. When I play with windows settings, eg. resolution of DP display or HDR it turns on display for a second and goes black again.
Update: I tried with a fresh Win10 install on my backup SSD and monitor was working fine until I've installed AMD Adrenalin. After that same thing is happening.
Update2:Now also cleared CMOS and replugged GPU. Still no luck. Running out of ideas.
Update3: looks like I've fixed it. It's too late and I'm too tired to test it properly but system boots and monitor works.
Most bizzare thing that I found on EVGA forum. I unplugged power cable from monitor and waited few minutes till it resets and now it's all good. Might be some difference in electric potentials between pc and monitor.
Will hook up my system SSD tomorrow and test some games.
