Encountered error 1603 while installing recent update. I think the update error is because I put a RX580 in my PC to test functionality where a RX560 was previously installed (troubleshooting some new build components in an old PC). This web page for Error 1603 – A General Error Has Occurred During the Installation of the AMD Software Package | AMD says to install the downloaded Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable packages and then uninstall all versions of the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributes currently installed.
If I uninstall all C++ redistributes on this PC, why did I download and install the new C++ redistributes?
