I want to know if this gpu supports uefi gop in order to activate secure boot in windows.
You can just try and see if you get video output or not when you enable Secure Boot.
If you don't get any video output during POST then simply do a CMOST CLEAR to reset your BIOS back to the way it was before.
Also does your Windows Drive partitioned for using Secure Boot (UEFI Mode)?
If your Windows Drive is using GPT then you won't have a issue using strictly UEFI Mode but if it is partition under MBR then you would need to use CSM Mode otherwise it won't boot up.
Just to mention, the card does not have a GOP(uefi) vbios. Wonder if OP query is for Win.11 compat..
I agree also that it does seem like the OP is considering upgrading to Windows 11.
Would the computer still boot up with the GPU card if it doesn't have a UEFI compatible BIOS?
I've been using full uefi for so long, have forgotten what's what for legacy systems. For secure boot CSM must be disabled.
So, this card does NOT support uefi gop.
Which GPU generation after the 5450, does, if you know? Does the 6450, for example?
Also, where can one go to filter AMD GPUs for UEFI support? It doesn't seem to be a search criterion anywhere I've looked?
I'm looking for a basic replacement card for an Ubuntu workstation and with a UEFI-capable vbios, can get out of the current CSM configuration.
Some hd7700 series had native uefi. Techpowerup Database VGA bios collection (but you have to read each card listed to see if or not).
