Amd tuf 7900xt 20gb issues!

Hey just upgraded from a nvidia 2060 rtx 6gb to a Asus Tuf gaming 7900xt 20gb...

Cant play any games just crashing and lagging, Gpu goes up to 100% in idle sometimes and just stutters and lag in all games. How come?! My 2060 ran better than this.

Thinking about refunding my new gpu and going back to nvidia honestly

Use  the 23.12.1 driver and you get rid of the crashes. The 24.1.1 is pretty bad, causing freezes and crashes. Also the 24.2.1 beta driver seems to have the same issues.

Another victime, i had similar problems with a 7800 XT, ended up sending it back, AMD doesn't seem to care

Have you at least cleared out the old drivers using DDU?

Don't you find odd, a 7900XT being slower than a 2060?
There must be a reason for it.

And your PSU, is it up to the task? Don't forget that the 7900XT is much more power hungry.

I've been using ATI/AMD cards since I left Matrox, from the 9700PRO to the still running RX480/6800/6950 and none of them gave me a single issue to this day.

Good Luck
