New pc, 3 weeks old
Gigabyte A520M H
AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
16GB DDR4 3200mhz
600W Bronze psu
Adata 500gb Nvme storage
Purchased a used RX 6600 XT of ebay, installed into the pc and tried numerous drivers but all end up the same. crashes within seconds of loading games.
DDU drivers, tried latest andrenalin,Pro and even let windows update install drivers but no luck at all.
Then last night i read somewhere that Linux should be ok. I thought why not, always wanted to dip my toes into a linux distro so i reformatted my NVME and installed the latest Federo distro. Set it up following a guide i found and installed a GPU benchmark, steam and Batman Arkum from my library and they all worked great!! no issues, or crashes at all.
So i guess my issues is with the drivers for windows 11. Whats up with that then? Ideally i want to use windows (as im used to it). I plan to do a clean install of windows over the weekend to see if that may fix the issue. If not then it looks like Linux is the way to go for now.
