Hi all,
Have acquired the 6900XT a few months ago. Have noticed some graphical issues in certain games. Would be very appreciative of any insights anyone might have, initially I thought it was a software issue considering some games ran fine, now that it's occuring in a fair few games, I'm just confused!
Please find rig details below, as well as some further information. I uninstalled most games where the issues were occuring so i don't have too many videos.
OS: Windows 10
GPU: ASRock 6900XT
GPU: Driver: 21.11.3
CPU: I7-10700K
MOBO: TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI)
RAM: 32GB
PSU: 1000W
HDD: NVME 1tb Primary, 1tb SSD secondary
Games I have run with no issues:
3DMARK Time Spy
3DMARK Time Spy Stress Test (97.8% pass)
New world
Battlefield 2042
GTA V
Riftworld
Games I have run with issues:
Evil Genius 2 - Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBp4dvvlbG8
Generation Zero - Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HX_sGPC-UU0
Mortal Shell - Large gray lines extending from a single point
The Forgotten City - Large gray lines extending from a single point
Halo Infinite Multiplayer - Lighting pops similar to the Evil Genius 2 video, but less
Many thanks!
A polite bump, happy to provide additional information that could be helpful : )
Seems like we both have similar problem...
I added the problem here: https://community.amd.com/t5/graphics/rx5700-screen-flashing-in-games-recorded-video/m-p/499905#M813...
but nobody helps...
Thanks for the response mate,
Looked at your video, some of the artefacting is definitely similar to mine. As well as the issue of it only occuring in certain games. I've run a few diagnostic/artefact tools but can't create any errors/issues which is fairly confusing!
Would be great to get some support on this from an AMD rep. Would like to know if this is a software(drvier) or hardware issue. It's very hard to return GPUs to retail stores without compelling evidence.
Try not to use a program that overclocks. It is really not necessary with this GPU for all games on the market. Additionally, in games like Halo try tweaking the graphics up and down to see if that helps.
