Hello fellow creatures,
Few months ago, I tried to do some mining on Linux, since the CPU I had on the machine was not crap, and Radeon Software for Windows was taking a couple of minutes to open up from the tray bar..
Anyways, I had 3x580 cards, 1xnvidia 3060 and the 6700xt, and after installing all the drivers, trying different kernels and whatnot, it never managed to get the 6700 to work with opencl (& to be detected by the mining software; no problem with the 3x580 or the nvidia).
There were other people having similar problems with 6700 and newer GPUs on Linux, read somewhere that this might take some time to be fixed, so has anyone had some similar issues & know ways to fix them?
**There was a guide to install rocm and whatnot for ubuntu, but had already uninstalled ubuntu several times, so I tried to install it from an aur repository, but there was a problem whilst dealing with one of the dependencies.
***Also checked out HiveOS, and somehow it was detecting the GPU, tried the same kernel (5.10) on Manjaro, but didn't really worked.
