i see a ton of people have this issue and everyone seems to have a different fix until it ends up not being fixed. whats the deal ? is this just an amd issue ?

its random. sometimes i can alt tab while playing games. other times it just goes black screen for 5 minutes. i can hear youtube playing or discord in the background and then it will fix itself. sometimes i restart my pc and i get black screen when i get into windows and it recovers. sometimes it feels like it doesnt happen for a week and i think my problems are solved... and then they arent again

Rx 6900 xt , 5600x CPU , STRIX B 550- A , Gskill Ripjaw V 32 gigs, 800w corsair psu 

again, i turn options off from what i read on this forum. it works for a day or two perfectly. minimizing, switching games to my other monitor, etc. then just this morning boom another black screen while switching characters in wow. i dont know if an ssd would cause issues like this but thats my last best guess ? im almost about ready to buy a whole new pc even though this one is still amazing while actually playing games. You know its going to have absolutely nothing to do with amd. thats for sure.

Multi monitor, multi tasking, repeated alt tab sounds like the MPO (multiplane overlay) bug?

Search the forum (or web) for the regedit work around.

Also are you using two separate pcie cables from psu to card (not one into two split).

multi monitor yes. i have a 140hz asus and a 60hz benq for fighting games and internet. i dont get any alt tab sounds because i turned off my windows sounds, hate em. also i have 3 ports on my card and they are all separate wires.

i honestly cant take this anymore. i try something, it works a day or two, boom black screen. i try something else, works the same , boom black screen. i am going to lose my god **bleep** mind. has this issue been accepted/acknowledged by AMD and they're just going to let this ride or what?

Okay i updated everything, REMOVED adrenaline software and just installed the driver. IT WORKS PERFECTLY EVERY TIME NEVER BLACKED SCREENED SINCE. PSA!!!!!
