6800 XT LED ARES driver error

I installed a 6800 XT this morning but am now getting an LED USB error. The ARES device is showing up as a keyboard and is showing a Driver error. Running a USB logger it shows the LED USB is plugging in and out every 10 seconds. All my drivers are up to date.

This is now causing issues in certain games as it is picking this device up as a Controller and switching controls to it and then back to my actual keyboard.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a fix? Or is there a way to just disable the ARES device being detected and installed as when I remove the device it just reinstalls?

I have the exact same problem with mine RX 6800 XT. Same device name. Getting random USB disconnection sounds when starting certain programs/games. Its kind of frustrating. Would be nice to get any assistance on this.

Depending on how many usb devices connected, have you tried disabling 'usb selective suspend' in windows advanced power options.

Also (my b550 mobo) has a recent new bios for some usb fix.

I sort of have an issue of the same sort, related to the ARES device. Whenever I press num/scroll/caps lock, a usb disconnect device sound occurs. With some digging i saw that it is the ARES device(s). Have not found a fix for this.

I have the same problem with the RX6900XT.
It did not occur on the RX6800.

I think it might be the rgb controller on the card.  I had dual 6800 non xt and it didn't happen.  soon as I plug in 6900 xt, it shows up.  No issues though after it installed.  Maybe the 6800xt have some leftover or disabled components from the build??

mh, can be either chipset error or dead RGB controller on GPU...
