4096x2160 resolution missing with W8600

Hi guys

I'm struggling to set our Radeon Pro W8600 to the display's native resolution of 4096x2160.

Allthough the EDID is correct with 4096, the maximum I can set in Windows is 3840.

Tried to create a custom resolution in Adrenaline, but it says the resolution is not supported.

Any tipps to solve this?

Thank you very much

Bastian

Maybe AMD Moderator of Pro GPU cards can assist you but need to post more information about your PC and software and hardware : @fsadough

There is not enough information to investigate your issue.

  1. What is the make and model of your display?
  2. What are the cables and adapters used?
  3. Which exact input is being used on your display?
  4. What is your OS and GPU driver installed?
  5. Can you provide the EDID info?

Thanks for your reply.

Our 'display' is a Barco DP4K-60L cinema projector, connected via OPHIT FTDS DP extender:

DP4K-60L - Produktsupport - Barco

FTDS > 4K/8K Products | OPHIT CO., Ltd.

We know that this setup is working in 4096x2160 on a twin system with RTX-3090.

Here's the EDID I exported. If it helps:

There's also a 0.5m miniDP to DP adapter, not sure if that could make a difference?

  1. I believe you are referring to Radeon Pro W6800, correct?
  2. Do you get the desired resolution without the extender?

That was a good thing to do. Having the 4096 resolution I just froze the EDID and now it's running fine with the converters, too. Thanks for your assistance, case closed
