Hello,
My config :
MOBO = Asus Rog B360H
CPU = Intel Core i7-8700
GPU = 2 x RX580 Sapphire Nitro+ 4GB (1411 MHz clock, 1750 MHz Memory)
I am using 2 RX580 in CrossFire. I overclocked both for better performance in game. I did it from WattMan Settings and I set clock frequency to +5% (automatic voltage) and the memory to 1900 MHz (screenshots in attachements).
In game, there is no problem and in extreme use, I noticed a better performance.
But, when GPUs are overclocked, I have an offbeat with and video when I am watching YouTube after about 2 minutes of playing.
When I reset my overclock, I don't have this offbeat.
Why is there an offbeat when GPUs are overclocked ? Must I do an other configuration ?
I did notice an offbeat with other kind of videos.
Thanks for your help.
back off on the overclocking
If I post this question, it's because I don't want to back off my OC settings at each time. I want to keep OC everytime !
many programs are sensitive to the overclocking which is why I mentioned it
I was able to improve my memory performance which makes my rig noticeably faster
Try disabling "Hardware Acceleration" in your browser while overclocked and see if it makes a difference. If it doesn't make a difference then go back to stock settings for your GPU cards as mentioned in previous comment.
Thanks for answer !
Disabling hardware acceleration doesn't provide a good performance for multimedia content and some videos seem to also offbeat.
I don't always need to overclock, so I can back off and set overclock when I need it. I don't think it is possible to set AMD GPUs by command line, but if it exists I'll take it . Also, I would like to know why there is this problem when I overclock. If someone is a graphics specialist, I would appreciate a quick explanation .
But no problem, i will change my settings according to my need.
