windows power plan
so i installed my AMD chipset drivers. and i am trying to use the AMD power plan but windows keeps swtiching it back to default windows power plan

Have you tried running administrator command prompt sfc /scannow, and or reinstalling the Video drivers?

You don't give any system information, so I'm guessing here. There's an old post here from a couple of years ago that found MSI Center to be the problem.

But, if you don't have something like that installed, I believe that with the newer processors, AMD got rid of the AMD specific power plans. I'm wondering if the new chipset drivers disabled those plans because of that.

my bad i forgot. and could be but i thought that was with the ryzen 9s ? i had this cpu for a while and i used to be able to use them.
