If i use any other installation file apart from the one on the Asus website for my Asus Vega 64. I get that exact same issue. Or some brands simply do not even display that crashed looking screen and simply do nothing when selecting the Radeon software. I noticed the Asus installation files look very different compared to the ones used by the Radeon website. If it is not an Asus card you own then i can only guess that it may apply with other brands. I experienced the same thing on my previous 290x and on multiple computers. That was also an Asus brand.
