Hello,
I have a RX 5700XT and am a friend of Virtual Super Resoulution.
I also like streaming and have a Razer Ripsaw Game Capture Card to capture the image source.
My monitor is connected via display port and the Razer Ripsaw is connected via HDMI to make it work.
The image is then cloned via Windows.
The Game Capture Card regularly supports 1080p with 60 FPS resolution.
However, a recommended resolution of 720p is given for Windows.
This is not correct.
If I then activate VSR, the intermediate resolutions from 720p to 1080p will be recognized as VSR resolutions and I don't get higher than 1080p.
Without the Razer Ripsaw I can assign a 2160p resolution to my FullHD monitor via VSR.
If I clone the image, the normal monitor gets only a 720p image, which just looks bad.
The monitor is driven at 144Hz, the ripsaw at 60Hz.
Would it be possible to manually give the Razer Ripsaw the correct resolution so that both devices can be controlled via 1080p and I can use VSR with 2160p?
What have I tested?
- Set both resolutions to 1080p 60Hz → Did not work.
- Both output devices controlled separately → Monitor 1 = 2160p possible | Razer = Maximum 1080p
- Attempts to assign a manual resolution to the device → Ignored during cloning
- For both monitors the same settings for color space and color depth → Did not help
Team „Green“ has done that in the past.
