We are developing Linux security software on these VMs, they were moved from an DELL laptop running Intel 8550u, after moved to 5800x, they just won't start, either panic or hung. One is running RHEL 5.9, another is running SuSE 10.1.
I searched on the web, found someone earlier got 3900x also had this type of issues, and after many days trying, gave up, moved to a new Intel BOX and as expected they worked.
