Hi,
I recently switched from a NVIDIA 970 to a AMD RX 6700 XT and now im noticing missing textures in a few specific instances when using the pinball software Visual Pinball versions 10.5, 10.6 or 10.7.
The graphical errors appear as soon as I run the current AMD driver 21.6.1. When I use the "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" all textures appear as expected. The same problem is present with the driver version 21.8.2.
To give a few specific examples:
- textures of the troll covers are missing: https://imgur.com/a/osExRsO https://imgur.com/a/okfPZsW
- texture below the mine is missing: https://imgur.com/a/xA4TGZ1
- the whole playfield image is missing: https://imgur.com/a/Ow7iOm8
- running the "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" - the playfield texture is displayed: https://imgur.com/UNS1dMU
I already cleaned the AMD drivers with DDU and tried reinstalling them but the same texture errors are always present.
I am running Windows 10 21H1 and the "Default" graphics profil in the radeon software.
Is this a known bug in the current AMD driver versions? Anyway to solve this, perhaps with a specific option in the radeon software?
I am here to share I also have the same issues with my 6600.
I´ll give it a try. Are you talking about "Visual Pinball X (Standalone EXE) 10.7.0" or any other in particular?
10.7 should work, but it is not on all tables only some where they work fine on the other guys cards, we all had a very long discussion here about it if it is okay to post links.

I´ll download it tonight and see what I can do!
Downloaded it, installed it, suffered and then uninstalled it. I have to download and install several programs from several places in order to make it run. The editor closes to desktop some times. I´m starting to believe that the missing textures are not 100% related to buggy drivers, but they are simply the game´s fault.
This may be true, but i also can use onboard and they work, and also they work on my other pc with a 2080 no issue..
i feel like the points made in that thread were pretty clear but it is what it is i think maybe just swaping up to a 3060 will be my resolution, thanks for looking tho..
