Update 23.8.2 to 23.9.1 - driver timeout

I have updated my driver from 23.8.2 to 23.9.1, now I get a driver timeout when opening an avi video. Exactly the same thing happens when rendering in the unreal engine. Before the update, I didn't have any problems. I uninstalled the new driver using DDU and reinstalled the old 23.8.2 again, but the problem remains.

I uninstalled everything again with DDU. If no AMD driver is installed, playing avi videos works without any problems. Then I reinstalled the driver 23.8.2 again and get the same driver timeout again. Updating to the new 23.9.1 also resulted in the same problems.

I also tested the method of disabling the mpo but that didn't work in my case.

The last thing I did was a system restore from before the driver update, which didn't help either.

How do I get all data deleted from AMD (really all) that I only installed the old 23.8.2 driver. DDU probably leaves something in the system that is taken over again during a new installation.

Or does anyone have another option?

That's really annoying, this is my second render PC that is actually rendering 16 hours a day and now nothing works anymore.

i have the same issue or really similar issue which is leading to BSODs as well, can you please try to disable freesync? Or downgrade to 23.7.2, that was last working version

Freesync was always off. I just installed 23.7.2 and I have the exact same problem.
