Hi, I have had issues uninstalling my vega 7 graphics. I am unable to boot multiple games and it seems to boil down to the fact that I have igpu drivers but run an rx 6600. I have ask the communities of these games and they all say to uninstall the Vega graphics and i am unable to do so. I have used ddu, amd clean up utility and manually uninstalling from the control panel and none of these work. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
my apologies. The games are doom eternal, battlefield 5 and 1. I didn't find any other forums on this. I have linked my system info so you can look at my hardware.
Ryzen 5 5600g
rx6600
16gb 3600mz ram
500gb sata ssd
2tb 7200rpm harddrive
gigabyte b550 d3sh mobo
Both of your APU Integrated Graphics and RX6600 uses the same AMD Driver. So you can't uninstall your IGPU without uninstalling your RX6600 GPU card.
Generally when you install a GPU card with a APU Processor with Integrated Graphics BIOS automatically switches your Main Display adapter from your Integrated Graphics to your RX6600 GPU card.
You really don't need to disable your IGPU.
Here is the latest RX6600 AMD Driver that is also the same for your 5600G APU Integrated Graphics: https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-6000-series/amd-radeon-6600-series/amd-radeon-rx-...
OP has a desktop pc, should now only be using the 6600. Disable the 5600g graphics as its no longer useful.
May also need to change mobo bios setting to dedicated card.
There really is no need to disable the IGPU since the GPU card is being used as the Main Display adapter anyways.
That way the OP has an option to use the Motherboard's Video Outputs as a secondary video output option.
There shouldn't be any type of conflict between the IGPU and GPU card since both use the same AMD driver.
But if the OP does determine that the IGPU is causing the issue he can easily disable the IGPU in Device Manager.
I the IGPU isn't the problem, would you have any idea why these games claim that my drivers aren't installed?
Can you post a screen shot of what happens when you try to play a game or games?
That will be useful because it will indicate the area to troubleshoot.
You can use Windows Snippet to get a screen shot to save the image to your drive.
I will be away from my pc for a bit but It said something like: Error, driver version detected as 0.0.0 must be 16.0.0 or higher.
