I'm looking for a driver for my Radeon HD7870 XT on Ubuntu 20.04.

on fresh ubuntu install I just get a black screen

I can only boot with nomodeset

I tried the driver amdgpu 20.20 1089974, installation works but with the same result

and according to the web page, support of HD7800 looks missing...

The card works on Windows 10 on the same computer with the latest amd driver.

Any help will be very appreciate

hi i have the same gpu, maybe we can connect i thoght about dc karlioas

i can use ubuntu 24.01 with radeon.si_support=0 and amdgpu.si_support=0

but that the things are displayed bigger than im used too.

also i have played on it and blue and red are somewhat inverted.

the fan isn't spinning.

i have two displays connected. the screen is mirrored. In the settings i didn't see the second display
